Bugs your game out and forces you to restart the whole thing. Makes for a sour experience.. This is one of the more fun SNES-like RPGs out there. Well done devs!. A classic 16-Bit RPG?Thats an offence against all real classic J-RPG's.This one is just a hull of an RPG. I played this offline so my total playing time was short of 4 hours to finish it.But that was only because of one of the bugs in this game. You see at one point you must talk to an hermit.But....you must walk into his room from a specific tile. If you don't and just talk with him...well the cutscene won'ttrigger...because of that I searched every dungeon again (not that there are many).Back to the game.The story is simple someone is bad and you and your party must kill him.The graphic even for RPG-Maker is barren. The 2 TWO cities are lifeless. There are the graphic errors that let you walk into objects or even the sky.The NPC are talking the same even if you have finished a quest. Quests...yes, in your very small hometown you can get some sidequests...looks like the devs lost interest in themafter your hometown.You can see your enemies in the dungeons so you can try to avoid fighting....only that most of them are so bigyou can't avoid them. Fighting well your fighters don't hit much but your witch kills everything on screen with onespell (boss fights needs 3 rounds), So you only need mana potions.Whats more to say.....heck there are so many good RPGMaker games around don't waste your money for this oneeven if its only a few cent.. Threads of Destiny is another solid game that adds to the excellent collection of the 16-bit style rpgs being offered on Steam from Aldorlea. I always say that the foundation of these games is a good story ---- and this one fills the bill with a well told tale of a young girl (Illya), her two brothers (Lyonel and Vayne), and 3 other playable characters that I have discovered so far as they take on a group of witches that have wicked plans for the world of the story. So it's up to your party of characters to find out the what and why of their plans, and, of course, save everyone.The game has an ordinary start as you build your characters abilities by playing in three differing groups before everyone comes together, but, like "Midnight's Blessing" from the same dev, as the story unfolds the pace quickly picks up and becomes one of those games that draws you in for one more area to explore, or one more battle, or one more task. As a good rpg should.The characters are well fleshed out and easy to like, and there are several NPCs that help move things along as well. The artwork is very nice, especially in the battle scenes.Music is good ---- stays in the background yet sets the mood of the action taking place.I'm several hours in, and the story is really just beginning, so the game length is good.Lots to see, explore, and accomplish here, and it is a must for fans of this type of game.
